A corbel arch, also known as corbelled, are decorative curved elements in the corners of an opening that appear to be supporting the opening. You also have the option of adding a center arch to span the distance between the corbels, which will further enhance the opening.

When you choose to add a center arch, you’ll note that the total height will change based on the total width. The larger the opening, the more total height you’ll need. The width of your center arch will be the total width less 42″ for the corbel arches. A total width of 143.625 in. will make the center arch 101.625 in. The rise of your center arch will be determined by the center arch rise chart. If you’d like to further customize the rise of your center arch, or any other part of your corbel arch, feel free to call us. Using the above example, a total width of 143.625 in will make the center arch rise 9.000 in.
Every corbel arch kit comes with tailored installation instructions to your specifications. It really is as simple as measuring and marking your header, marking down from the header, and then aligning and fastening each corbel arch to the stud and header.
